All the pictures were taken just after dawn. Not many people are up and about that time of day except the homeless. Not all were full-time homeless. A minority had serious alcohol problems. Jay felt they were like him in the simple recognition that below the thin veneer of circumstances they shared the same core characteristics, were alike due to a certain age and outlook ER -
